Ingrid Ottersten
Ingrid's work with commercializing usability in Scandinavia is unparalleled. Since the early 90's she has dominated the Swedish usability scene. Five years ago she co-founded what is now Scandinavia's largest Usability/Interaction design firm - inUse.
inUse has been very successful, not least thanks to the "Effect management" design strategy model, which she has helped to develop. Last year she also received the STIMDI great award as an acknowledgement of her efforts.
To me she is an inspiration, both because of her intellectual capabilities, and for her relentless struggle to help companies to steer their IT-investments towards the desired business effects.
